Sample 2 week timetable
Other duties: As well as your classroom teaching you will also help with placement testing. Students are placed first according to their test attainment and then by age. You are also required to write certificates and a brief report on your students at the end of their course.
In most of our centres we teach morning and afternoon and teachers teach 4 90 minute lessons per day (30 contact hours). Residential EFL Teachers at these centres will also take part in 2 non-teaching activities per week: either 2 evening sessions or 1 full day excursion at the weekend. There are a limited number of posts for EFL Teacher Activity Leaders (TA). At the centres teaching takes place in the mornings only. There are 2 90 minute lessons per day (15 hours per week) and a greater involvement in the activity programme. As a TA you will supervise 7 non-teaching sessions per week - in most cases this will involve a full day excursion at the weekend. Click here for a sample activity programme .
The Teaching Programme Teachers are responsible for planning and delivering effective EFL lessons appropriate for junior learners. We help you in this by providing a comprehensive syllabus itself supported by accompanying materials. The materials are a combination of internationally published coursebooks, you'll no doubt be familiar with. Also provided are our own in-house materials we've developed. You are of course welcome to use your own tried and tested resources where these fit in with the ISIS syllabus. A sample 2 week timetable and sample lesson plan are shown below. Click on the image.
