The Activity Proramme The activity programme is a key part of the summer school experience - and has equal importance as the academic programme. As well as improving and practising their English students want to meet people from other parts of the world and to have fun: the activity programme is the perfect opportunity for this. The programme includes full and half day excursions, sports, arts & crafts, Talent Shows and discos. Activity Leaders and EFL Teacher Activity Leaders are responsible for planning, promoting and leading these activities. One of the attractions of the job is the variety - no 2 days are the same. You could be meeting new students at the airport; refereeing an international football tournament; accompanying students on a guided tour of London or judging a Talent Show. Activity Leaders come in all shapes and sizes and with a variety of talents and skills. However, all have enthusiasm, energy and a desire to work with young people to ensure they get the most out of their stay with us. It is a very full time job. Activity Leaders will be rostered to work 13 sessions per week and most weeks you will work 6 days with your day off during the week. Click on the image to see a sample 2 week activity programme. Most of our centres run so-called 'zig-zag' programmes with lessons in both the morning and afternoon. Consequently, activites will also take place morning and afternoon - and in the evening of course.
